Dr Wang, GIS expert, including remote sensing, spatial planning, landscape and conservation specialist, is a High Conservation Value (HCV) Assessor Licensing Scheme Expert. Google Earth Outreach Trainer Network member.

With 17 years of experience, Dr Wang has worked on over 20 large projects on the design, implementation, and evaluation of international work for carbon credit certification, land use change, spatial planning, climate change, field mapping, and non spatial data analysis.

An authority in her field of work, Dr Wang's publications has had over 1,900 citations to prestigious peer-reviewed publications including the Science and Nature magazines, in climate change, deforestation, spatial conservation planning, biodiversity and carbon studies. Dr Wang has also worked on numerous peatlands projects in Indonesia.
